ANNA, Ill. -- William D. Crain, 75, of Anna, died Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at Hillside Terrace Nursing Home in Cobden.
He was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Independence, Kan., son of William Dennis and Minnie Gibson Crain. He married the former Hazel Anderson.
Formerly of Kansas City, Kan., he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Eagles Rosedale Lodge 100 in Kansas City, Kan., and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Karen Foster of Anna, Judy Ayala and Linda Barnett of Kansas City, Mo., Anita Heltman of Azalea, Ore.; two sons, William Crain Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., Dennis Crain of Milwaukee, Wis.; a brother, Mason Crain of Caney, Kan.; a sister, Audra Scott of Muskogee, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be private.
