GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Funeral for William Russell Clark of Tulsa, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grand Chain Congregational Church. The Rev. Gil Coultas will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill., from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7.
Clark, 84, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at South Crest Hospital in Tulsa.
He was the son of John and Myrtle Glenn Clark.
Clark was postmaster at Grand Chain 33 years. He was also a retired director of First State Bank of Grand Chain. He was a member of the Congregational Church, Masonic Lodge 660 AF&AM, and past worthy patron of Order of Eastern Star, all in Grand Chain.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ardis; two daughters, Ann Kearney of Wickliffe, Ky., Gayle Kurpeski of Elkhorn, Wis.; a son, James Clark of Tulsa; a sister, Ruth McClellan of Mounds, Ill.; a brother, Raymond Clark of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and three sisters.
