Funeral service for William Curtis Matthews, 73, 1528 Water, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Rodney Travis will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Matthews, 73, died Monday, Feb. 24, 1992, at his home.
He was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Livingston, Tenn., son of Will and Nancy Franklin Matthews.
Matthews was a security guard at Chateau Girardeau until ill health forced his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, William Matthews of Destrehan, La., Curtis Matthews of Hickory, Ky.; two daughters, Evelyn Williams of Cape Girardeau, Gloria Buhler of Almo, Ky.; a sister, Marie Brown of Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
