SCOTT CITY -- William A. Prass, 78, of Scott City, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, at his home.
He was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., son of William and Frances Brush Prass. He and Claire Hoover were married June 9, 1946, at St. Ann.
Prass retired as a transportation manager with the U.S. Government. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 6420.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Prass Jr. of Campbell, Calif., James Prass of Santa Clara, Calif.; two daughters, Frances Hagan and Virginia Joseph of Scott City; a brother, the Rev. Charles Prass of Rochester, Minn.; a sister, Marie Schmidt of Gainesville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, with the Revs. Pat Wissman and Charles Prass officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
