SIKESTON -- William A. "Bill" Portlock, 66, of Dalhart, Texas and formerly of Sikeston died Saturday, May 22, 1993, at the Coronada Nursing Home in Abilene, Texas.

He was born July 9, 1926, at Sikeston, the son of Walter and Gladys Portlock. He attended schools in Sikeston and Wilmington, Del., before moving to Dalhart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Dost.

Survivors include two sons, David Portlock of Springtown, Texas and Walter Portlock of Abilene; two sisters, Nylah Jo Juliano of Independence and Martha J. Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Harold Portlock of Brownwood; and seven grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service Wednesday, June 2, at Hamby, Texas. Norths Funeral Home of Abilene is in charge of the arrangements.
