Willard Earl Smith, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Landmark Hospital.

He was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Alton, Illinois, to Willard Earl and Venida Edna Ruebel Smith. Willard and Nancy Ann Walters were married June 18, 1966, at the Bluff City Worship Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was a butcher.

He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Cape Girardeau and Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; son, Willard Earl Smith III of Oak Ridge; and daughter, Maryann Sue Killian of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, his father and his mother.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at First Pentecostal Church, 3054 Lexington Ave. in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the church, with Brother Darrell Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
