WYATT -- Wilford Orval Brown, 75, of Samburg, Tenn., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at the Methodist Hospital in Dyersburg, Tenn.
He was born Oct. 1, 1924, at Wyatt, son of John Joseph and Maggie Belle Goode Brown. He married Loleta Blanche Lee.
Brown lived in the Samburg area a number of years, where he was employed with Tipton Gin Co. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Wyatt, and Charleston VFW Post 4294.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wilford Brown of Jackson, Tenn., Merlin Brown of Samburg; four brothers, Clifford and Estel Brown of Brawley, Calif., Floyd and Edward Brown of Wyatt; two sisters, Dorothy Griggs of Brawley, Mary Todd of Wyatt; and four grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at IOOF Cemetery in Charleston. The Rev. Charles Carr will officiate.
Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
