FARMINGTON -- Wilburn J. Boesch Sr., 78, of Farmington, formerly of Perryville, died Friday, June 28, 1996, at Parkland Medical Center in Farmington.

He was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Perryville, son of August and Mabel Voelker Boesch. He married Ina Opal Head on Nov. 1, 1941.

Boesch was a retired mail carrier and a former Boy Scout leader. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the National Federation of Square Dancing. He was a World War II veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wilburn J. Boesch Jr. of Park Hills and Dickie Wayne Boesch of Dallas; two sisters, Doris Brown of Nuburg and Sylva Mae Moore of Overland; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and 6:30 to noon Tuesday at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Whitewater Christian Church near Yount, with the Rev. Eric Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
