Wilburn S. Green, 76, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 19, 1926, daughter of Robert and Jenette Wimblerly Smothers. She and Elmer Green were married Feb. 14, 1959. He died Jan. 3, 1993...

Wilburn S. Green, 76, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 19, 1926, daughter of Robert and Jenette Wimblerly Smothers. She and Elmer Green were married Feb. 14, 1959. He died Jan. 3, 1993.

Green spent most of her life in Bell City, Mo., and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was retired from Elder Manufacturing Co.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Sides of Dresden, Tenn., and Wayne Green of Bell City; three daughters, Edna Scheible of Bloomfield, Mo., Jenny Jennings of Bell City, and Wanda Pounds of Whitewater; one sister, Edna Hampton of Dexter, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, two sons, one grandchild, two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Sister Ethel Myers will officiate. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
