CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Wilbur "Bo" French Sr. of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m.
French, 78, died Saturday, May 27, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 1, 1916, at Cooter, son of Norman B. and Anna Adkisson French. He and Mary Roberts were married May 29, 1942.
French was a retired businessman, and member of First Baptist Church. He served with the U.S. Army Military Police during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry French of Valles Mines; two brothers, Norman "Sonny" French of Vienna, Ill., Jack French of West Memphis, Ark.; three sisters, Marjorie Harrison of Miami, Fla., Ruth Lovett of Bertrand, Carmon Brazel of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
