Wesley Gregory Jr.

Wesley E. Gregory Jr., 86, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Wesley and Ollie Matlock Gregory Sr. He and Erma J. Snider were married Dec. 13, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death May 7, 2005.

Wesley served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked many years at Jim Wilson Co., and enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors include a son, David W. (Diana) Gregory of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Rhonda Carter of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Carol Sue Bauer of Kankakee, Illinois, Ruth Ann Dowler of Columbus, Ohio, and Patricia Lewallen of Arnold, Missouri; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Bruce Gregory; a brother, Howard Gregory; and a sister, Betty Farrow.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery.
