PERRYVILLE -- Wernold "Pep" Pepmueller, 79, of Perryville died Thursday, May 8, 1997, at Perry Oaks Healthcare Center. He was born March 10, 1918, in Klinger, Iowa, son of Louis and Sarah Hecht Pepmueller. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Men's and Adult Choirs; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II...

PERRYVILLE -- Wernold "Pep" Pepmueller, 79, of Perryville died Thursday, May 8, 1997, at Perry Oaks Healthcare Center.

He was born March 10, 1918, in Klinger, Iowa, son of Louis and Sarah Hecht Pepmueller.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Men's and Adult Choirs; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.

Pepmueller was custodian at Immanuel School the past 12 years, and previously worked at Sabreliner.

There are no survivors.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-8:30 a.m. A VFW wake will be held at 7 p.m., followed by an American Legion wake.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
