Wayne Felty

Wayne "Gus" Felty, 65, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau..

He was born March 10, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to Kermit Daniel Sr. and Helen H. Kuehn Felty.

Gus enjoyed fishing and roofing. He loved his family, friends and his dogs — Apollo and Cheyenne.

Gus is survived by daughters, Crystal and Misty Felty of Cape Girardeau and Sarah Lofink of St. Louis; sisters, Robin Morgan of Patton, Missouri, Teresa Clubb of Thebes, Illinois, and Helen Young of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Roy Felty and Kermit Daniel "Danny" Felty Jr., both of Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews, Christy (Wade) Young Clover, Joseph Young, Michael and Scott Loberg, Margie Quisenberry, Patricia (Dustin) Runnells and Junior Clubb; many great-nieces and -nephews; and granddaughters, Pippa Felty, Fiona "Leigh", Phoenix and Ashlin Wilkins, all of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dewayne Felty; two brothers, one an infant and Eugene Mark Felty; and longtime companion, Sheila Beck.

Gus' family will honor his memory with a celebration of life that will be held at a later date.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Crain Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cape Girardeau.
