CALUMET CITY, Ill. -- Wayne F. Dexter, 75, of Calumet City and formerly of Ullin, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Ind. He was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Pulaski County, son of Frank and Myra Mumford Dexter. He married Rosetta Schultz on Sept. 15, 1954. She died April 25, 1985...

CALUMET CITY, Ill. -- Wayne F. Dexter, 75, of Calumet City and formerly of Ullin, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Ind.

He was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Pulaski County, son of Frank and Myra Mumford Dexter. He married Rosetta Schultz on Sept. 15, 1954. She died April 25, 1985.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Calumet City, an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW in Calumet City and retired from LTV Steel in Hammond.

Survivors include a brother, Leo Dexter of Dongola; two sisters, Dorothy Kerr of Roseville, Mich., and Joy Montgomery of Walled Lake, Mich.; and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Junior Melvin officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery with military graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
