TAMMS, Ill. -- Wayne M. Barker, 68, of Tamms died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 17, 1933, in Princeton, Ill., son of Albie and Mildred Carico Barker. He married Jean Simon.
Barker owned Barker Construction Co. 32 years before retiring. He was a member of Rock Church in Danville, Ill., and attended Tamms Methodist Church.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife of Danville; two daughters, Tammy Ferber of Statesville, N.C., Lisa Hendrix of Glendale, Ariz.; four brothers, Art Barker of Santa Ana, Calif., Ralph Barker of Fountain Valley, Calif., Clifford Barker of Anaheim, Calif., Frank Barker of Mesa, Ariz.; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville from 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rock Church in Danville, with the Rev. Randy Downing officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville.
