PATTON, Mo. -- Warren E. Jordan, 79, of Patton died Friday, May 2, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 30, 1929, at Oblong, Ill., son of Raymond Everett and Ada Celeste Jordan. He and Viola May Farquhar were married in 1950 at Olney, Ill. She died in 1980. He and Betty Arlene Shell were married in 1994.
Jordan was a retired owner and operator of Mayflower Van Lines franchise. He taught fifth and sixth grades in Cerro Gordo, Ill., received a master's degree from the University of Illinois and was a blacksmith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1946 to 1950.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond Jordan of Boyd, Texas; two daughters, Mary Ann Cash of Laurens, S.C., and Cynthia Lowe of Cerro Gordo, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Brenda Grant of Orlando, Fla., Norma Davault of Glenallen, Mo., and Kimberly Scott of Fredericksburg, Va.; a brother, Ernest Jordan of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 14 great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Travis Cash officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
