Warren G. Harding, 71, 2006 Sherwood, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1993, at his home. He was born April 21, 1922, in Harrisburg, Ill., son of Clyde C. and Margery Millner Harding. Warren G. Harding, 71, 2006 Sherwood, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1993, at his home.

He was born April 21, 1922, in Harrisburg, Ill., son of Clyde C. and Margery Millner Harding. He and Hortense Hahn were married Jan. 30, 1948, in St. Louis. She died Oct. 11, 1979. He later married Linda P. Pirtle Nov. 27, 1981, in Cape Girardeau.

Harding moved to Cape Girardeau in 1954. He was chief radiologic technologist with Dr. Milton Shoss from 1954 until retiring in 1986.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, and National Society of Radiologic Technologists. He was a life member of VFW Post 3838, was post service officer 27 years, served on the budget committee 15 years, was post trustee four years, and a National Aide Decamp. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Harding of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Stephen Pirtle of Cape Girardeau, and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. William Matzat will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
