Wanda Lee Sparks, 88, of Jackson passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at Jackson Manor
She was born Dec. 5, 1935, in Chaffee to Hess and Blanch Edith (Conrad) Stone.
She and Louis Denford Sparks were married Dec. 22, 1957, in Chaffee
Wanda had one son, Curtis Denford Sparks. She spent her time as a homemaker, mother and wife. She came from a large family who have all preceded her in death. She was known as a friendly and outgoing person. She liked to visit and to go Homecomers every single night. In 2004, she had a granddaughter, Charli Jo, who was the light of her life.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Charli Jo Sparks; daughter-in-law, Sherri (Bill) Gholson; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Stone and Carol Stone; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Denford Sparks; son, Curtis Denford Sparks; six brothers, Leon, Bill, J.C., Roy Lee, Jack and Donnie Stone; and sister, Velma Dobbs.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Boettcher officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Charli Jo Sparks Education Fund.
