Wanda Lee Sanders, 77, of Whitewater died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at her home.
She was born Jan. 19, 1942, in St. Louis to Elmer and Gertrude McCulley Green. Wanda first married Charles Sanders. She later married Sammie Pounds, and he preceded her in death May 9, 2009.
She worked at Thorngate Ltd. for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her mother, Gertrude Cruz of Whitewater, and sons, Charles Wayne Sanders and David (Tina) Sanders, all of Whitewater; daughters, Sandra (Charlie) Barnes of Cape Girardeau and Tina (Richard) Britt of Zalma, Missouri; brothers, Dan (Christy) Cruz of Whitewater and Eddie (Sherry) Cruz of Jackson; sister, Linda (Larry) Duran of Palmyra, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; two husbands; son, Elmer Louis Sanders; and brothers, Jimmie, Henry, Wayne and Danny.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at McGuire Cemetery in Burfordville, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Memorials may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
