SIKESTON -- Wanda Lee Roam, 66, of Paso Robles, Calif, formerly of the Sikeston area, died Saturday, June 24, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 25, 1929, in Oran, daughter of Nina Velma Graviett Couts Gunter of Vanduser, and the late Walter S. Couts.
She was a housewife and was active in finding homes for orphan children in Okinawa and Germany.
She married William E. Roam on Nov. 29, 1946 in Overland. He survives in Paso Robles.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Carl F. Gunter of Vanduser; a son, George Allen Roam of Englewood, Calif.; three daughters, Vickie Lorraine Freer of Santa Margarita, Calif., and Diane Kaye Leon and Cheryl Renee Brown of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; a brother, Bobby J. Couts of St. Peters; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call after 6 tonight at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marvin Graham officiating. Burial will be in Los Osos, Calif.
