Wanda Lou McElreath, 72, of Burfordville died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at her home.
She was born May 17, 1933, at Crump, daughter of Dennis Aaron and Carrie Zelma Helderman. She and Charles W. McElreath were married Jan. 20, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He died Aug. 5, 1990.
McElreath and her husband owned and operated ABC Cab Corp. and A-1 Towing in St. Louis. They retired in 1979 and moved to Burfordville.
She had taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school at Burfordville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley McElreath of Cape Girardeau, Mark McElreath of Gordonville; a daughter, Gelena Kosta of Ballwin, Mo.; a sister, Oma Hedge of Labadie, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Morris Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
