WANDA L. HESSE

Wanda L. Hesse, 74, 1213 N. Main, died Wednesday, July 22, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Lon and Maggie Eaker Gaither. She married Albert Hesse Oct. 24, 1942, in Cape Girardeau. He died March 22, 1944.

Hesse was a lifelong member of Red Star Baptist Church. She was director of the Beginners Department 58 years and taught Sunday School in that department several years. She was a former choir member, and member of Women's Missionary Union.

Survivors include a brother, Lloyd Gaither, and a sister, Pearl Young, both of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Red Star Church. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
