Wanda D. Clark, 79, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center. Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Dr. Derek Staples will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park...

Wanda D. Clark, 79, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Dr. Derek Staples will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Mrs. Clark was born May 6, 1922, at Scopus, Mo., daughter of the late Glen and Stella Teeters Dockins. She and Carl E. Clark were married Oct. 26, 1944, in Corning, Ark. He passed away Aug. 12, 1985.

Loving survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Joyce Clark of Gordonville, Mo., Dennis and Dorothy Clark of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Philip H. Nash of Jackson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn Jr. and Cleta Dockins of Mt. Vernon, Ill., William P. and Marcy Dockins of Cape Girardeau; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Jerry Burgess of Bluntville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Lori Mahala of Cape Girardeau, Gabe Nash of Jackson, Andrew and Katie Clark of Gordonville, Abby, Erin and Melanie Clark of Louisville.

Mrs. Clark taught in rural schools in Southeast Missouri three years, and was later employed by Missouri Department of Welfare and Vocational Rehabilitation in Washington County.

She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church and participated in nursing home ministries. She was a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center more than 20 years.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lynwood Baptist Church Building Fund.
