Walter L. Walker, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 1, 1935, in St. Louis to William L. Walker and Ella Reid Walker.
He served 29 years in the National Guard.
He worked 30 years in the kitchen at Southeast Missouri State University.
He worked at the pool hall, Pla-Mor Rec Center and was also an avid bowler.
Survivors include friend, Susie Maxwell of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Charity of Choice.
