DUTCHTOWN, Mo. -- Funeral for Walter F. Ostendorf of Dutchtown will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Old St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Gefford Lamprea will officiate. DUTCHTOWN, Mo. -- Funeral for Walter F. Ostendorf of Dutchtown will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Old St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Gefford Lamprea will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, followed by Knights of Columbus Council 6429 prayers.

Ostendorf, 91, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 4, 1911, in Cape Girardeau County, son of J.B. and Cecilia Millering Ostendorf. He and Lorine M. Keller were married March 31, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. She died Dec. 5, 1993.

Ostendorf had farmed and later was a self-employed carpenter 40 years. He was a member of Old St. Vincent's Church.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Ostendorf of Scott City, Mo., Glenn Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau, Thomas Ostendorf of Gordonville, Mo.; two daughters, Norma Lancaster of Jackson, Mo., Betty Badger of Gordonville; two brothers, Fred and John Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
