MOREHOUSE -- Walter Earl McCraw, 56, of Morehouse died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 4, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Raymond Earl and Sylvia Ethel Johnson McCraw. He and Carol Jean McDonald were married June 15, 1975, in St. Louis.
McCraw was a welder with Metro Manufacturing. He had lived in Morehouse and Canalou nine years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Sean McCraw of Seattle, Wash., David Phillips of Jackson, Mich., Raymond Phillips of Elwood, Ind.; four daughters, Dory McCraw of Hot Springs, Ark., Martha Dial of Elwood, Jessica Newberry of Morehouse, and Tiffany McCraw of the home.
Also surviving are five brothers, Kenny McCraw of New Florence, Harry "Cookie" McCraw of Cahokia, Ill., Harold McCraw of Morehouse, Raymond "Butch" McCraw of St. Louis, Michael Hardin of Kirkwood; two sisters, Lois Moehlman of Kirkwood, Bonnie Wallace of Columbia, Ill.; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dewayne Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
