CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Walter Lee Lynn, 77, of Chaffee died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at his home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1928, at Randles, Mo., son of William Thomas and Lillie Mae Thompson Lynn. He and Louvena Frazier were married Nov. 11, 1947.
Mr. Lynn had been a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge 615, and VFW Post 3127, all in Chaffee.
He served in the U.S. Army, Air Force and Navy.
Survivors include his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Lesa Lynn Sr. of Powder Springs, Ga., Howard and Roberta Lynn and Roger and Tammy Lynn of Scott City; a brother, Robert Lynn of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Lynn; a daughter, Wanda Lynn; a grandson, Terry Lynn II; two brothers, Forrest and Audrey Lynn; two sisters, Fern Crowden and Eva Schiwitz.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Blakey officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City with full military honors to be conducted.
