PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Walter Paul Lohmann Jr., 64, of Perryville died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 27, 1952, in Perryville, son of Walter H. and Anita Hopfer Lohmann.

He and Maxine Harris were married June 24, 1972. She survives in Perryville.

He was a farmer and worked at MFA Agri Services for 17 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Missouri.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter, Timothy (Amanda) Lohmann of Perryville, Elizabeth (Christopher) Buerck of Cape Girardeau, Adam (Kelly) Lohmann of Perryville and Patrick (Kimberly) Lohmann of Frohna, Missouri; three sisters, Carolyn (Lloyd) Schoenbeck of Ellis Grove, Illinois, Linda (Orville) Ehlers of Jackson and Viola (Mark) Schilli of Ozora, Missouri; and 12 grandchildren, Noah, Alex, Kelty, Kinsley, Engel, Henry and George Lohmann, Lauren, Emily, Justin and Anna Buerck and Dillon Cissell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Ann Kalsow and Gladys Mueller; and a brother-in-law, Donald Kalsow.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

He then will be taken to Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar for a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar.
