Walter L. Lattin, 78, of McPherson, Kan., died Thursday, Feb. 1, 1996, at his home.
He was born Jan. 31, 1918, in McPherson, son of Harry W. and Ida Matilda Peterson Lattin. He and Wilna Borth were married March 16, 1941, in McPherson.
Lattin was owner and operator of General Welding Works of McPherson from 1938-89. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 24, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715, Masonic Lodge 172, Shrine Club, all in McPherson, and Isis Temple of Salina, Kan.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Lattin of Lyons, Kan., James Lattin of Newton, Kan.; a daughter, Dr. Linda Burns of Cape Girardeau, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home in McPherson from 3-5 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Church in McPherson, with Pastor Sandy Schlesselman officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
