Walter "Cliff" Goggin, 81, of St. Charles, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008.
He was the son of George and Bessie Goggin. He married Luella Fern, who preceded him in death.
Goggin was a member of First Baptist Church in Wentzville, Mo.
He served with Gen. George Patton in the 4th Armored Infantry.
Survivors include three sons, Paul and Kevin Goggin of St. Louis, Stephen Goggin of Florida; four daughters, Peggy Kohrs, Jane Messman and Barbara Bourisaw of St. Louis, Nancy Davis of Bowling Green, Ky.
Also four brothers, Jack Goggin of Lesterville, Mo., Bill Goggin of Pacific, Mo., Charles Goggin of Troy, Mo., James Goggin of Cape Gir-ardeau; three sisters, Maxine Walker of Lesterville, Betty Turnbaugh of Fredericktown, Mo., Jesse Chitwood of Sappington, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Jan. 8, 2008, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles. Burial was in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
