JACKSON -- Walter G. Renne, 91, of Jackson died Thursday at the Lutheran Home where he had resided for the past four years. He was born Jan. 11, 1903 at Gordonville, the son of W.C.F. and Elizabeth Kester Renne. He married Edna Kaften on Nov. 8, 1942 at Jackson. She preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 1976...

JACKSON -- Walter G. Renne, 91, of Jackson died Thursday at the Lutheran Home where he had resided for the past four years.

He was born Jan. 11, 1903 at Gordonville, the son of W.C.F. and Elizabeth Kester Renne.

He married Edna Kaften on Nov. 8, 1942 at Jackson. She preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 1976.

They operated a dairy farm for 23 years near Jackson. They retired and moved to Jackson in 1965.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Men's Club and was the former director of the Ceramo Co. in Jackson.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
