ANNA, Ill. -- Walter E. Kelley, 87, of Anna, died Friday, Nov. 18, 1994, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 20, 1907, in Johnson County, son of Charles and Mary Mathis Kelley. He and his wife Louise were married June 1, 1945, in Jonesboro.
Kelley was a retired farmer, and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; foster children, Robert Scott of Mayfield, Ky., Gilbert Douglas of Dyersburg, Tenn., David Woodworth of Anna, Judy Vaughn of Jonesboro; two brothers, John Kelley of Vienna, Ralph Kelley of Du Quoin; a sister, Eunice Hoffner of Dongola; 13 foster grandchildren, and six foster great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a foster daughter, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James E. Hart officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
