ADVANCE, Mo. -- Walter Dunn, 85, of Advance, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at his home.
He was born June 21, 1920, in Newbern, Tenn., son of Franklin and Maggie Rittenberry Dunn. He and Macie Andrews were married Nov. 9, 1940, in Caruthersville, Mo., and she died Nov. 23, 2005.
Dunn was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a farmer and a member of the Bell City General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Frank Dunn of Festus, Mo.; a daughter, Joyce Stewart of Oak Ridge; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Gadberry officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery with full military honors by the Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard.
