CLARKTON, Mo. -- Walter Marion Calvert, 70, of Clarkton died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Blytheville, Ark., son of Lucian Foster and Minnie Belle Powers Calvert. He and Lola Cook were married March 21, 1957, at Greenville, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Alan Calvert of Portageville, Mo., Jim Calvert of Clarkton, Donald Calvert of Gideon, Mo., Tim Calvert of Osceola, Ark.; a daughter, Debbie Umfreas of Campbell, Mo.; three brothers, Lucian Calvert of Piedmont, Mo., Fred Calvert of Twin Lakes, Wis., Marshall Calvert of North Carolina; four sisters, Joyce Stinson of Jackson, Mo., June Hargrove of Hot Springs, Ark., Mallie Stinson of Granite City, Ill., Holly Nelson of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo., after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
