Wallace Wilburn McCollough of Anderson, Ind., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Community Hospital in Anderson, following an extended illness. He is the son of the Rev. Wallace Wilburn McCollough of Anderson, Ind., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Community Hospital in Anderson, following an extended illness.

He is the son of the Rev. J.W. and Loretha Acree McCollough. His early years were spent in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. He was a 1955 graduate of Beech Hill High School near Pulaski, Tenn. He attended Anderson College, and a broadcasting school in Nashville, Tenn.

McCollough served in the U.S. Army.

When he was younger he was a radio broadcaster in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. He worked at General Motors more than 30 years. He was affiliated with the Church of God and First Nazarene Church in Anderson, and was a member of Union Local 663.

Survivors include a sister, Twyla Christiansen, and a brother, Nathan McCollough, both of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dean Pardon officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
