BELL CITY -- Wallace L. Stephens, 71, of Bell City, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1995, at his home.
He was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Clinton, Ky., son of Elder and Izora Kelly Stephens. He and Glida Wood were married June 28, 1953.
Stephens received a bachelor of science degree from Murray State University in 1950.
He taught veterans agriculture classes, taught 13 years in the Bell City School District, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Lakeville Lodge 489 of Bell City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Shaw of Belleville, Ill.; two sons, Phil and Clint Stephens of Bell City; three sisters, Fannie Stephens of Martin, Tenn., Martha Dunn of Nashville, Tenn., Novella Little of Springville, Tenn.; a brother, Waymond Stephens of Stamping Ground, Ky., and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4-8 p.m. today. Masonic service will be at 7.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Bullard officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
