EAST PRAIRIE -- Wade Lynn Allen, 55, of East Prairie, died Thursday, April 7, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following a brief illness.
He was born July 20, 1938, in Gates, Tenn., son of Waldo Ansley and Mary Lou Lea Allen. He and Karen June Carlyle were married Feb. 25, 1989.
Allen was employed by Gates Rubber Co. in Charleston. He had lived here five years and was active in East Prairie summer youth programs. He was a member of East Prairie Boosters Club, attended Full Gospel Church, and was a former member of East Prairie Park Board.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Erwin Aryndale of Georgia; two daughters, Cristy Allen of Huntsville, Ala., Brittany Allen of East Prairie; a stepson, Jonathan Gammons of the home; a brother, Wayne Allen of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Jean Oakley and Ruth Bishop of Memphis, Tenn., and Mary Sewell of Dyersburg, Tenn.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 2 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Mike Johnson and Bob Oakley officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
