Wade Robert Keesee, son of Monty and Michelle Keesee, was born Dec. 6, 1992, in Santa Ana, California, but was raised on 100 acres of "his own heaven" in Scott City that overlooked the Mississippi River. He was the biggest family man, husband of 10 years, father, son, brother and best friend to many. Wade's time on this earth was cut short Saturday, June 12, 2021, by doing what he loved at the age of 28.
He had a construction management degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
He was a crane operator and millwright who was employed by Industrial Systems of Cape Girardeau, where he managed multi-million dollar projects.
In his free time, he loved to spend time with his family and his two dogs, Dixie and Copper. His hobbies included back porch sitting and grilling with his wife, wood and metal working projects, fishing with his sons, swinging on his childhood swing-set, putting his arm around his mother and telling her "It'll be all right," riding any type of ATV, mudding in his truck, tinkering in his shop with his dad, and being outdoors. His children were his pride and joy. They were always able to bring a smile to his face.
There was nothing Wade liked better than an interesting conversation with a good friend or family member. Wade could have an engaging conversation with anyone. He lived every moment to the fullest. His carefree, fun-loving attitude drew everyone to him. His spirit allowed all to feel welcome. Wade loved his family and grew into an amazing husband and farther. His legacy will be the joy he brought to others, his love of nature and family, and his ability to be a friend to all.
Apart from his parents, Wade is survived by his beautiful, loving wife, Rebecca Lynn Holder Keesee; sons, Riker Wade Keesee, 9, and Beau Andru Keesee, 5; sister, Heather Marie Keesee; cousins/sisters, Amanda Rose Oleson and Logan Michelle Oleson of Cape Girardeau; sisters-in-law, Tricia (Joey) Dale, Cari (Justin) Hearn and Julie Holder of Scott City; grandparents, Robert and Janet Keesee and Everett and Mary Holder; stepgrandfather, David Dattilo; fathers- and mothers-in-law, Terry and Sandy Holder and Tami and Adam Moore; his California family; and all his aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wade was proceeded in death by his great-grandmothers, Mamie Mileski and Mary Keesee; great-grandfather, William Keesee; grandmother, Linda Lyons; great-uncle, Doug August; aunt, Deanna Oleson; uncles, Matthew Brooks and Rick Holder; cousins, Darren Bradshaw and Greg August; and brother-in-law, Dru Holder.
