SIKESTON, Mo. -- Charles Wade Husher, 80, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 13, 1922, at Crowder, Mo., son of Charlie and Alice Page Husher. He married Virginia LaRue, who died Jan. 21, 1995.
Husher retired from the city of Sikeston. He was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two sons, Bill and Jim Husher of Farmington, Mo.; two daughters, Alice Burrows of Drexel Hills, Pa., Judy Barrett of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Pat Kinsey of Crowder, Frances Dismuke of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Tippen will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.
