JACKSON -- Vivian E. Savers, 81, of Jackson, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1993, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 7, 1912, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Purl B. and Emma Wilson Adams.
She married John A. Savers, April 12, 1931. He died Dec. 2, 1982.
Savers was a member of the New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson where she taught Bible school and Sunday school for several years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star in Jackson, from which she received her 50-year pin of recognition.
Savers had been employed by the former Southeast Missouri Telephone Company, was also a deputy county collector for Cape Girardeau County and a Democratic committee member.
Survivors include a son, John Savers of Stuttgart, Ark.; a daughter, Marsha Parrish of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral services at the New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the New McKendree United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Nancy Woods officiating.
Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
