VIVIAN BOYD

ANNA -- Vivian Boyd, 88, of Anna died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Dec. 21, 1909 in Dongola, the daughter of James Earl and Sarah Elnora Howell Corzine. She married Glenn E. Boyd on Aug. 24, 1932. He died on March 21, 1986.

Boyd was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a charter member of the Anna Unit Home Extension and a 4-H leader.

Survivors include a son, Collin Boyd of Anna; two daughters, Barbara Bauer of Anna and Jane Gimble of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Colleen Garrott of Anna and Betty Snyder of Spring Hill, Fla.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant sister, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call today from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Hardway officiating. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.
