ULLIN, Ill. -- Virginia Ludene Baker Stoner, 80, of Ullin died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born Jan. 4, 1921, at Ullin to Arley E. Baker and Georgia Cox Baker.

She was married to Delbert Forest Stoner, who died Jan. 23, 1996.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ullin and was general office manager of the Shawnee Development Council at Mound City, Ill., for 23 years before retiring.

Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Kay Rendleman of Ullin; two brothers, William Baker of Franklin, Tenn., and James Baker of Palatka, Fla.; four sisters, Mary Ecker, Jane Robertson and Peggy Waddington, all of Jacksonville, Fla., and Arlene Shirley of Kingsland, Ga.; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at Ullin Cemetery, with the Rev. Enloe Clemons officiating. Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
