Virginia T. Sanders, 95, formerly of Leopold, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 22, 1909, at Indianapolis, Ind., daughter of Emmet and Kate Halbman Taylor. She and Gerald Sanders were married Nov. 24, 1938, at Indianapolis. He died Jan. 6, 1986.
She was a retired comptometer operator for the Terminal Railroad Association in St. Louis. Sanders was a member of St. John Church in Leopold and St. Vincent De Paul Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Shari K. Landewe of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Church.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Bob Landewe officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Hutchings Funeral Chapel at Marble Hill, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
