Virginia Sampson, 68, of 210 S. Frederick, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 5, 1927, at St. Louis, daughter of Jasper and Rosalie Palazola Vitale.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
She and Carlos C. Sampson were married May 7, 1955, at St. Louis.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Joseph T. Sampson of Granite City, Ill., Carlos C. Sampson Jr. of St. Louis, Charles Sampson of Cape Girardeau and Carlos A. Sampson of Clearfield, Utah; two daughters, Virginia Vaughn of Fenton and Linda Sampson of Oakville; three brothers, Sam Vitale of Festus, Louis Vitale of West Virginia and Anthony Vitale of Mexico, Mo.; four sisters, Marie Parker and Agnes Queen, both of St. Louis, Pearl Brown of St. Peters and Rosalie Cardinale of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and Monday until 9 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home at 5255 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis.
Funeral service will be Tuesday in St. Louis.
Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel announced the funeral arrangements.
