Virginia Lee Rose, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 24, 2004, at her home.
She was born June 6, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Joseph H. and Cora Hopkins Zoellner. She and George S. Rose were married Aug. 31, 1955, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died Sept. 7, 1978.
Rose retired in 1971 from May Co. in Los Angeles, Calif., and moved to Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a brother, Clarence "Bud" Zoellner of Woodbridge, Va.; a sister, Vera Windisch of Cape Girardeau; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating.
