Virginia Estelle Perry, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Baltimore to Joseph Auld and Myrtle Cecilia Duvall Harrison.
Virginia was a factory worker. She was a member of Cape First Church. She served in church 70 years as a youth leader, in the music ministry and as a Sunday-school teacher.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Robert (Jane) Perry of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Janice (Rick) Parrish of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Breth, and a brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
