VIRGINIA MAXINE HOLIFIELD

SIKESTON -- Virginia Maxine Holifield, 72, of Sikeston died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1992 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Jan. 27, 1920 in Sikeston, daughter of the late Tom Ryan and Ida Williams of Sikeston.

She married Glen Holifield on Feb. 10, 1940 in Sikeston. He preceded her in death Oct. 17, 1970.

She was retired as an assembly worker for Anchor Toy Corp. in Sikeston.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, David, Stanley and Duane Holifield, all of Sikeston; one daughter, Janet Caudle, Sikeston; four brothers, Thomas, Bill, Joe and Robert Ryan, all of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one brother and one sister.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. John Tolbert, pastor of Trinity Chapel Church of God in Sikeston, officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
