Virginia L. Sides

CARROLLTON, Mo. -- A graveside funeral was held Monday for Virginia L. Sides, 70, of Carrollton. Burial was in Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton.

She was born on May 27, 1934, in Millersville, daughter of Cornelius and Sara Ellen Welker Hahn.

She married Larry Dean Sides on Sept. 17, 1954, in Burfordville. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1999.

She attended Jackson grade school and graduated from Jackson High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carrollton, its Women's Quilting Group and the Carroll County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Gregory K. Sides of Carrollton; a daughter, Robyn L. Spangler of Carrollton; a brother, Johnny Hahn of Jackson; two sisters, Wilma Summers and Lela Hutson, both of Jackson; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
