JACKSON -- Virginia "Virgie" Kinder, 94, formerly of Jackson, died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. She was born July 7, 1903, at Whitewater, daughter of Ethel and Dell Erwin Hosea. She and Clarence Arthur Kinder were married Dec. 4, 1929. He died Dec. 20, 1987...

JACKSON -- Virginia "Virgie" Kinder, 94, formerly of Jackson, died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born July 7, 1903, at Whitewater, daughter of Ethel and Dell Erwin Hosea. She and Clarence Arthur Kinder were married Dec. 4, 1929. He died Dec. 20, 1987.

She moved to Jackson in 1970 from Cape Girardeau. Prior to her marriage, she worked for the JCPenney Co. in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Whitewater United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Norvell Hosea of Whitewater, and a sister, Geraldine Johanningmeier of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ed G. Rhodes will officiate, with burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
