Virginia "Ginny" May (Prass) Josephs, 66, went peacefully to her eternal reward from her home on Saturday, March 28, 2015, after fighting the good fight with her bone disease, fibrosis dysplasia, which she had since she was seven years old. She was born in St. Ann's Village (St. Louis) on Nov. 17, 1948.

An avid reader, she could be seen walking with her crutch when she went to the library to get books. She was president of the St. Joseph Credit Union in the '80s and was always smiling and cheerful.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Prass, and her only son, Christopher Josephs.

Left to mourn her loss are her mother, Claire Prass; her sister, Frances Presswood (Harmon) of Scott City; and her brothers, Chuck of Scott City and Bill and Jim of California, along with her nieces and nephews.

Ginny was greatly loved, and she will be sorely missed also by her friends and neighbors and all of her church family at St. Joseph's in Scott City. She will be remembered for her beauty of spirit, her kindness and thoughtfulness -- especially at Christmas, when she made her pumpkin bread and peanut brittle.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. At 7 p.m., there will be parish prayers.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Scott City, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Joseph Council of Catholic Women or Saint Francis Medical Center Cancer Fund.

Online condolences may be shared at amick-burnettfuneralchapels.com.
